Have you heard about the recent updates to the Protective Factors Framework? In February 2024, the Protective Factors received a comprehensive update, which included revising definitions, emphasizing cultural influences, and addressing new challenges for youth and families. 

Join this free and informative webinar to explore these enhancements and reflect on how they may impact your collaborative efforts with children and families. This session is designed for individuals already familiar with the Protective Factors Framework.

 

Updates that will be reviewed include:

  • Revised Protective Factor definitions
  • Reframed action-oriented core values, such as intersectionality, family voice, and culture
  • Additional key topics added to each Protective Factor

In this engaging lecture-format webinar, we will:

  • Review updated definitions of the Protective Factors 
  • Identify key new elements added to the Protective Factors Framework
  • Explore the expansion of well-being, culture, and cultural connectedness within the Protective Factors Framework

Who Should Attend: This session is designed for staff of family resource centers (FRCs), Child Abuse Prevention Councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems who are already familiar with the Protective Factors Framework.

 

IMPORTANT TRAINING INFORMATION: 

  • This is a webinar-style training. This means that you will not be on camera and will not be able to see other learners. This training will not include breakout rooms. Opportunities to interact with the presenter(s) and other participants will be included.
  • This training will be recorded. The recording will be available to registered learners within 2 days of the training.

MEET THE FACILITATOR

 

As a Training Coordinator for CalTrin, Jessica’s primary goal is to ensure staff, administrators, and stakeholders working in child abuse prevention services have access to quality training and resources. Her work in Training and Development has focused on designing, implementing, and facilitating engaging and interactive learning programs. Jessica has a passion for public speaking and creating a safe and engaging learning environment. Jessica is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and a Certified Trainer in Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life In Your Work (Children’s Trust Fund Alliance) and the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support (National Family Support Network).
