Building a Resilient and High-Performing Organizational Culture
9:00 – 11:00 A.M. PT
December 12, 2024
To foster resilience and positivity, we must first create the conditions for resilience and positivity. Leadership is ultimately responsible for creating these conditions. This training will support leaders in developing the vision, commitment, communication, and planning that allows organizations to move resilience training from well-being programs to longer-term initiatives that define and build the organizational cultures we need for resilience to persist. Some of the concepts included are the leadership team’s resilience practices, how supervisors and middle managers are supported and empowered to move the vision and strategies forward, and how leadership fosters honest and vulnerable feedback about the culture from staff at all levels. This is just what is needed now, as we move our workplaces forward toward being organizations where people want to work.
Participants will:
- Understand how and why adaptations can affect the outcomes of an EBP
- Understand what types of adaptations can be problematic and how to identify alternatives
- Understand and practice how to make adaptations to meet local needs while maintaining fidelity to the EBP model
Who should attend: All staff of family resource centers (FRCs), Child Abuse Prevention Councils (CAPCs), community-based organizations, and other child- and family-serving systems.

MEET THE SPEAKERS
Jennifer Rolls-Reutz is the Director of both CalTrin and the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC). In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of both projects and is responsible for their delivery and overall success. Her experiences as a foster and adoptive parent have allowed her to see multiple sides of the child welfare and behavioral health systems and encouraged her belief in the power of natural supports, prevention and early intervention, data-driven decision-making, and second chances.
