Sheila believes that challenges make life interesting, but helping others to overcome those challenges makes life meaningful. Jessica Mattly, MBA

As a Training Coordinator for CalTrin, Jessica’s primary goal is to ensure staff, administrators, and stakeholders working in child abuse prevention services have access to quality training and resources. Her experience in the area of Human Resources and Training & Development has focused on designing, implementing, and facilitating engaging and interactive learning programs for leaders and direct staff. Jessica is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and a Certified Master Trainer with the Association (ATD). She is also Certified in the areas of Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life In Your Work (Children’s Trust Fund Alliance) and the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support (National Family Support Network).
HAILEY NEWTON
TRAINING COORDINATOR
Hailey is a Training Coordinator for CalTrin. In this role, she supports the advancement of child abuse prevention by assisting with the development and implementation of training sessions designed for child- and family-serving professionals. She comes to CalTrin with over six years of administrative experience, including most recently having worked as an Administrative Associate for the Transforming Mental Health Initiative at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Hailey is driven by the desire to positively impact youth’s lives and contribute to creating healthy environments that allow children and their families to flourish.

content & design specialist
Megan is a Content & Design Specialist at CalTrin. In her role, she leads the design, development, and implementation of all branding, print and electronic media, and marketing materials across CalTrin and several grant-funded projects at the Chadwick Center, including the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC) and the Western Regional Child Advocacy Center (WRCAC). Megan feels grateful for the unique opportunity to use her design skills to help children and families.
Jennifer rolls reutz, mph
DIRECTOR
Jennifer is the Director of both CalTrin and the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC). In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of both projects and is responsible for their delivery and overall success. Her experiences as a foster and adoptive parent have allowed her to see multiple sides of the child welfare and behavioral health systems and encouraged her belief in the power of natural supports, prevention and early intervention, data-driven decision-making, and second chances.
KASEY WHITE
TRAINING COORDINATOR
Kasey is a Training Coordinator for CalTrin. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and has extensive experience in forensic interviewing, child advocacy, and nonprofit leadership. Through her prior work with a children’s advocacy center, Kasey gained valuable knowledge about working with children who’ve experienced abuse and neglect. She understands the importance of shifting the conditions families are in as a primary prevention strategy. In her role at CalTrin, Kasey strives to deliver high-quality training that empowers professionals and community members to recognize, respond to, and prevent abuse by creating safer and healthier environments that protect children and support families.

Administrative associate
Bessie is the Administrative Associate for CalTrin. In this role, she supports all administrative functions for the project and manages data entry for the CalTrin website. She is a highly organized administrative professional with over 20 years of experience. Bessie’s inspiration to work in child welfare comes from her family’s deep ties to the medical field. Her nieces are doctors and nurses, and her son is a respiratory therapist. They are all heroes to Bessie, and she admires their hard work and dedication.
